Focus 

Suhuf: Journal of Qur'anic Studies and Culture as an international journal, provides a platform for academics who focus on Qur'anic studies and culture, subject to a rigorous review process. The journal places particular emphasis on both textual and contextual approaches in research, ensuring the quality of submitted articles. It also offers researchers the opportunity to explore the world of manuscripts and cultural practices in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, whether these are classical or contemporary in nature. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars of both Eastern and Western traditions and adopts an interdisciplinary approach.

Scope 

This journal specializes in the field of Qur'anic studies and culture, including Qur'anic sciences, exegesis, rasm, dhabt, qira'at, Qur'anic manuscripts (exegesis), regional Qur'anic translations, and cultural practices within society. We invite submissions that align with our general themes, as outlined below:

  • Manuscripts related to the Qur'an, including exegesis, Qur'anic sciences, and the Qur'an itself.
  • The Living Qur'an phenomenon.
  • Studies in Qur'anic Sciences: (Rasm, Dhabt, Qira'at, Tajweed).
  • Studies in Tafsir (Qur'anic Exegesis).
  • Studies in Qur'anic Exegesis Methodology (both local and international).
  • Translation.
